Integrated Energy Healing (IET) is a healing technique that clears and balances the energy field. With light touch, suppressed emotions that block the natural flow of energy are released. It works on clearing away any negative emotions and patterns so spirit can flow freely ─ allowing us to regain that soul-to-soul connection with our beloved equine friends and partners.

A University of Guelph study found that yawning may be a way for a horse to release endorphins. Yawning is a sign that the horse was feeling stressed, and by yawning, is releasing the stress. I also believe and have witnessed, when applying training techniques, your horse will sometimes lick and chew, yawn, stretch, etc. and it's important to acknowledge their input into the session you are creating for that moment.

There are times you can just tell your horse is "locked up" either mentally or physically, and on their own timeline, they will lick and chew as long as you are patient and only introduce one piece of the puzzle to them at a time, allowing them to fully integrate the process, one step at a time.

I once met a beautiful 38 year old Spanish Barb mare and her owner mentioned she could not move even one step and was thinking of putting her down. I offered to work on her, and after about an hour, she was sound, and moving again albeit a little slowly at first. The mare was then turned out on 100 acres with the rest of the herd I lived with, and shortly thereafter she was able to walk and trot and keep up with the other horses.

Months later, she came to my kitchen window asking me again for help. I took her to her owner, where she passed virtually in the hands of two very caring, compassionate people who gave this horse a 2nd chance at life.

It’s a blessing to see this type of healing work, and you just can’t explain it, but seeing is believing. It’s so rewarding.

This is "Gold" the 2013 Poster Horse for Holistic Healing. He was arched in a position that was so uncomfortable for him, and after the first session his mom claimed he looked 10 years younger! His body got back into normal alignment and he could not only just turn left, but was able to now turn to the right. This is a miracle, no doubt. The power of healing is absolutely amazing.
